This hand crafted chess set is made in layers giving it a 3-dimensional feel. As you play your game you will feel like your pieces are sliding on ice.
The board has felt feet to prevent scratching your furniture, and each piece has a felt bottom, so they slide easily across your board without scratching.
The wood base measures 12"x12"x1"
The board itself measures 10" square.
The tallest piece, the king, is about 2.75" tall
The shortest piece, the pawn, is about 1.25
The other pieces vary between those two.
The box is resin-filled and weighs about 4.5 pounds.
My pieces are handmade with love, not perfection. Great care and attention go into every piece I make; but unfortunately, this doesn’t prevent small imperfections. This may include small bubbles that may have snuck themselves in.
Resin is a very strong material made by mixing two components together, and it is very difficult to break, but prolonged sunlight, or soaking in water, may cause it to warp.
