Players control Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira, escaping from creatures and the mysterious pursuer Nemesis, while overcoming difficulties to escape Raccoon City. In addition, this game introduces new elements such as the "ammo crafting system," "emergency evasion," "quick turn" to look behind, and "live selection" to deal with crises within a time limit. Furthermore, the protagonist's movement on stairs has been changed, and with AI improvements, enemy characters can freely ascend and descend stairs to attack.
