Rare Mid Century Signed Dorothy Thorpe Etched 11.25" Double Curves Iris Platter.

Signed - Dorothy Thorpe Etched Platter This is a Mid 20th Century Piece. This Beautiful Platter / Dish Measures 11.25" x 11.25". It has a large orchid with two long leaves etched into it. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks. It has a few minor wear marks and scratches as it rested on a tabletop as seen in photo.

Dorothy Thorpe was an artist who had a studio in Los Angeles and in her heyday ( 1930's and into the 1950's) she purchased glass from various companies, decorated it, and sold it. As a signature she used a large printed T in the center with a smaller stylized D as seen in photo.
